Bilateral talks between Pakistan and India to resolve disputed issues under the Indus Water Treaty have failed, officials here said on Tuesday.

“The water commissioner-level talks (held in Lahore) failed to yield any results on the third day as India failed to budge on its design of the Kishanganga Dam. India also refused to halt construction of dams on the Chenab River”, said a government official.

He said Pakistan has expressed serious concern over the construction of the Kishanganga and other damns terming this to be a clear violation of the Indus Water Treaty. Read more
