India’s new Prime Minister Narendra Modi today (Tuesday) said that his government would actively consider signing Teesta water-sharing deal and land boundary agreement with Bangladesh.
His assurance came at a meeting with Bangladesh Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at the Hyderabad House around 1:30pm (local time).
The Speaker, who flew to India to attend the swearing in function of the BJP leader as India’s 15th prime minister yesterday, was talking to reporters after the meeting Tuesday. Read more
